Spotlight: Jill Barber – Oh my my Chances on vinyl!

Oh my my, Chances on vinyl! Jill Barber’s third album was recently re-released by Maple Music and Outside Music in record form. A limited 500 copies have been produced, and the lucky first 100 orders got their record signed by Jill herself.
Chances was originally released in October of 2008. Since then, Jill has been constantly on the road. She toured through Canada a couple of times, including a stint as the musical guest for Stuart McLean’s Vinyl Cafe Christmas Tour. She’s also toured Australia, and played at South by South West in Texas last year.
Jill and her album Chances were also shortlisted for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize in 2009 and awarded two East Coast Music Awards, for Solo Female Artist of the Year and Jazz Recording of the Year for 2009.
The old romantic vibes and jazzy sultry sounds of Chances, makes this album the most appropriate for vinyl listening. So for those who crave a throwback to an era you probably didn’t grow up in but wish you did, than get your hands on this record before they’re all gone!
